The Man on the Middle Cross, by Alistair Begg, Book Review

Simple, delightful, digestible read. Begg’s preaching and writing style are really one and the same. The exposition of the passages he gives is wonderfully clear and bright. He helps paint a picture of the people, the places, and most importantly, of Jesus.

This book is for you. I’m not a new Christian, and practically read theology for a living, and I couldn’t put the book down! It’s wonderful to think over the stories. To remember different things, see new things, and explore new thought lines.

This book is also for you in the sense that it is evangelistic. I would absolutely hand this out to people I had a Gospel conservation with. Begg is winsome. And unlike many other tracts, he encourages his reader to find the person who gave them the book.

In short, I recommend Alistair Begg’s The Man on the Middle Cross: Are You Going To Heaven?
