This game is loads of fun. While it’s competitive, and players do win and lose, no one really wins or loses, because the game doesn’t need to end! And everyone is always doing something.
Setup: Everyone sits on a chair in a big circle.
The Kitty: One person stands in the middle and does not have a chair. This person is the kitty, and this kitty wants a corner.
Gameplay (Kitty): The Kitty goes round the circle to each person and says “Kitty wants a corner.” Each seated player says to the kitty “Not here. See my neighbour,” and point either right or left (or to someone else; whatever you want to do for your game).
Gameplay (seated players): While the kitty is going around asking for a corner, the seated players are trying to swap places with someone else before the kitty takes the seat they want. Players look across the circle, try and communicate that they want to try and switch seats, and then run for it!
How Gameplay Continues: When the Kitty gets a seat, the person the kitty took the seat from becomes the new kitty, and the game continues.
