Which Venezuelans? The indigenous certainly aren’t celebrating. María Corina Machado promised to open up their land to exploitation by American corporations. That means genocide. This could be Guatemala in the 1980s on steroids. Venezuela is a deeply divided society. The old elites (which Trump is planning to restore) hated Chavez because he was black and Indian. They’re the ones celebrating and I dread the idea of what they’re going to do when they get back into power.

You know, all the Venezuelans celebrating across the world that their unelected Communist dictator was removed.

I actually clicked through all of your links hoping to find something that wasn’t from X.
Believe it or not I actually thought I’d see more than what you posted, at least one or two sizable crowds, at least a few people who looked black or indigenous. But almost all of the links of “people celebrating” are actually one or two people alone in a room or a crowd of at most a few dozen people in a few foreign countries.
You posted a link that said “we’re free after 26 years.” That means none of it’s about Maduro. He wasn’t President 26 years ago.
I don’t really understand why you think it’s in your interest as an American to restore the old Venezuelan elite. Do you own an oil company? I don’t. What is your motivation to see the indigenous in Venezuela subjected to a genocidal campaign by a corrupt old ruling class who want to strip their reserves of all their natural resources? They’re going to sell off all of Venezuela’s mineral resources to people who wouldn’t give you or me the time of day for pennies. Why would anybody be for this?

Well spotted. It’s not just about Maduro. It’s about socialism/Communism. Chavez nationalized the industries of Venezuela, taking them out of the hands of private citizens and companies, and transferring ownership and operation to the government. It was theft. And most of those oil companies were owned by Americans, and their infrastructure built under American leadership and with American money. Maduro came in later, continued the regime, and stole an election.
Also, I have posted crowds of people.
Also, so what if my links are to X — there are many sources on X.
Also, why should I look for people of certain races? I’m talking about Venezuelans. Why do I need to search out people who look a certain way?

How about this: YOU find videos of people in Venezuela crying about the loss of their leader who weren’t part of his regime.
These links were collected within one hour of the whole thing happening. Venezuelans are still under threat from their government — they are jailing people with anti-Maduro sentiment. So of course people in the country are going to be scared to express their opinions.

Humor me. Post the links with the actual crowds as a reply here. Maybe I missed them.

No. I’ve already linked to a few. You have not posted any. First you. Then I will.

I’ve looked through all of those links and couldn’t find a single crowd over 100 people. Most are from X and have only one or two people who may or may not be Venezuelans alone at home. I could post a video of myself “cheering” any political cause. It wouldn’t mean much.
But I’m giving you a concrete fact to look into. Machado is inviting American corporations to exploit Venezuela’s resources. Most of those resources are on indigenous land. The indigenous in Venezuela don’t speak English (or even Spanish). They don’t have internet connections. They don’t post on social media.
These people are going to be subjected to a GENOCIDE to make more money for Elon Musk, who already has more money than God. Surely that’s worth at least looking into? Aren’t you actually curious? Don’t you want to do more than just repeat slogans some rich douchebag tells you do?

Link me a video of these people. Usually there is a translation option.
How does Elon Musk fit into this?
Do you know how many people have been killed under the Maduro regime? Do you know how he stole the election to stay in power? It seems like you’re decrying the loss of a dictator for fear of a potential genocide (a genocide which you’ve presented no evidence for).

Literally every link you posted was from X, which he owns.

What, you think Elon checks and edits every post on X to make sure it fits his narrative? And if you do, why do you not assume that about FaceBook?

Yes
I know he searches his own name. Back when I had an X account he’d reply to me.
X is not an objective news source. It’s an AI training site for Grok with you providing the free content.

Also (picking up on my other comment in response to this comment), you said that “GENOCIDE” is for the purpose of making Elon Musk more money. Can you tell me exactly how a genocide would make Elon money, and what that genocide is?

Yes.

Nope. X isn’t the only AI training site but it’s the one Elon Musk owns. That’s why social media links are worthless. Post a link from a real newspaper and I’ll read it.

You do know that “real newspapers” post on X too, right?
Also, you still haven’t sent me any links of people decrying the loss of their dictator who aren’t a part of the regime.

But your links are all small accounts with one or two people filming in their apartments. That’s worthless as evidence.
And Elon Musk doesn’t let you read or browse X without an account. He won’t show you what he has without getting to harvest your information.
Those are suckers terms.

If it took American troops to remove Maduro and if Trump didn’t install the puppet that the Nobel Comittee gave him and left maduro’s VP in charge it means the people of Venezula still support the Maduro government.

You know absolutely nothing about what you’re talking about. Maduro canceled the election when it was clear he was going to lose, and imprisoned his opposition.

And Trump left Maduro’s government in power. That means as long as American corporations get access to the oil they couldn’t care less about a stolen election.
Trump also supports Zelensky. Zelensky is conscriping 50 year olds and Ukraine hasn’t had an election in almost a decade now.
